iVox is a Voice Over IP (VOIP) or telephony service that allows web developers to receive, originate, and control telephone calls using a familiar metaphor, a Web Service. By using a Web Service API web developers can do all of this without dealing, or learning, telecom programming languages or setting up their own telephony software stack.

Using the Web API, developers can:

  • Originate phone calls to land lines or cell phones
  • Receive calls Read text and play audio
  • Record call audio
  • Connect callers to cell phone and land lines
  • Receive DTMF input from callers

Applications can be hosted anywhere there is a network connection. We speak HTTP.
